If you’ve ever wanted to turn your old bikes into something really useful and fun for the world after oil which we are entering…these machines can generate electricity or run a washing machine
In this workshop you will learn how to harness untapped human energy, and learn about bicycle machines developed in low energy communities from around the world.
Depending on materials you can learn to build your own machine to take away, these could include a bicycle generator for running a 12v energy system, a bike powered washing machine, juicer, lawnmower, or more creative projects; do you have a machine you would like to run off your own power? Please get in touch and we can see if we can make it happen during this project.
Please bring any old bikes, broken appliances etc, some materials will be provided but more will be helpful, also if you are particularly interested in one type of machine please mention this in your application.
