A polytunnel is an excellent addition to a garden. It extends the growing season and enables a year-round harvest. This one day course includes topics such as site selection, soil preparation and advice on how to errect a tunnel. We will demonstrate growing summer crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers and a selection of herbs, lettuces and greens during the winter season. We will also discuss other methods of protected cropping such as cold frames and cloche.

Selvi and John have been building up a successful market garden over the past few years, are selling on farmers markets and are running a veggie box scheme.
