Learning by doing – Volunteering and work experience

The Garden Project could not have developed without the help from numerous enthusiastic volunteers, helpers, students and people from different backgrounds from all over the world.
We welcome horticulture students who are looking for valuable work experience as part of their training. By spending time in our garden you gain insight into all stages of organic crop-production: from soil preparation to seed sowing, plant maintenance and pest and disease managment. So far we have accomodated FETAC 5 students from Ireland and agriculture/horticulture students from Europe/US.
We also get a lot of help from volunteers who want to pick up food growing skills for either themselves or their communities, schools or employment. We offer accomodation, home-cooked meals and the appreciation of interest and enthusiasm in exchange for 7 hours work per day.
